Great food & quallity service! I am never disappointed because they are consistent. Best in Charlotte to me.

My recent takeout was delicious. I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken with rice and peas, and cabbage. The chicken bursting with flavor and the rice and peas were a good side. The cabbage was a bit oily. The food was well-packaged, hot and fresh, and at a great price.

For our date hubby and I choose to have Jamaican food and wanted to try something near us with outside seating. Island Cuisine was our choice. The restaurant is spacious and their AC works great. So we opted to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. I ordered a spinach Pattie for an appetizer. We also got oxtails, butter shrimp, rice and peas, spinach, cabbage and plantains. Ginger beer and sorrel to drink everything was delicious only thing rice and peas missing that coconut flavor and sorrel very sweet. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back.

Island cuisine has moved to a bigger and better location! Quality of food has not changed. I dined in on a Thursday afternoon and the service was prompt. Def come check out the new location.

I like this place! You can dine in or take your food to go. They also have a bar. You can tell food is made to order and they care about how you are enjoying your food. On my visit I tried a mild beef patty and cow foot soup. Both were tasty. I will return soon!

I came to Island Cuisine with an appetite for an oxtail dinner. Then I saw a customer feasting on Escoveith fish dinner. I had to try it. Man-o-man it was crispy, delicious seasonings, and non-greasy.

I've dined here before, but it has been a while so I came here to get my Curry Chicken fix. It is soooooo good that I want to take a nap after! The ambiance was very chill, music made me want to go to Jamaica! It is always clean and the employees are so sweet and always make sure you have enough to eat. 10/10 I would definitely recommend.

I've ordered take out from this restaurant twice. The first time I ordered Jerk chicken which was a great serving for the price and super yummy without being too spicy. I also ordered a beef pattie and it was good! My 2nd visit I ordered a large oxtail, and a fried chicken meal. The oxtail was tender nothing spectacular but decent. Surprisingly the fried chicken was the star of the show, it was seasoned to perfection! Also ordered a beef pattie with coco bread! The rice and beans - meh, cabbage - meh Overall nice restaurant! I've noticed that they have a bar so I might try a cocktail next time. They also have seamoss which is pretty cool, they have some Jamaican buns, and desserts in a display case as well.
